Sean Sarvis is a writer, Producer, Director and professional stand-up Comedian.  Sean Sarvis is a multi-talented entertainer. He has appeared on BET’s Comic View and at clubs, colleges, churches, universities and military bases nationwide. Sean Sarvis has been a comedian all of his adult life. It all started at Crossland High School in Temple Hills, Maryland where his art teacher made a deal that if he could remain quiet all period, he would get five minutes at the end of class to do a routine. During his freshman year at Bowie State University, someone dared him to perform during a talent show. He accepted the dare, and he was a big hit! Sean is a full-time Christian comedian who believes the purpose of his work is to add joy to the lives of others. Sean knows that the Word of God states that laughter is like medicine.” Sean got his professional start as a secular comedian in the early 90’s. He appeared on BET’s Comic View six times and toured with Mo’Nique of the sitcom “The Parkers”. In 1996, he was named Washington, DC-area’s Comedian of the Year. Even though Sean had never seen a Christian comedian, he put on a comedy show at Glendale Baptist Church. Sean performs at weddings, family reunions and birthday parties. For three years, Sean was featured as a guest every morning at 7:05 am on theWashington, DC Gospel Station Heaven 1580 doing “The Sarvis Report”. Thatshowcased Sean’s incredible creativity as a writer and allowed him to developcharacters such as Lewis the Cat, and Miss Irene. Sean has worked with many artistssuch as Byron Cage, Tye Tribbett, Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, Donnie McClurkin, CantonJones, Marvin Sapp, Smokey Norful, Kanye West, Dave Hollister, Yolanda Adams,Vickie Winans, Kurt Carr, Israel Haughton, Martha Munizzi, JJ Harriston, JonathanSlocumb and Marcus Wiley to name a few… In 2010, Sean was featured on aninspirational DVD produced by Gospel Centric and Sony Music Entertainment called,“Soulaughable.”In 2016, Sean became an author of the inspiration book, “Lost In Love”, a GPS to aChristian relationship. In 2020, he wrote his autobiography, “The Father, The Son, andThe Comedian”.First, Sean Sarvis is a man of God. He is the father of three daughters, Sydney,Shawna, and Riann Sarvis. And the grandfather of two boys, Kingston and Neiko. Youcan’t mention Christian Comedy in the Washington Metropolitan area without saying thename, Sean Sarvis.
